There are various tools such as EndNote, RefWorks, Mendeley, Rayyan, Zotero, Covidence and others. Covidence is a good option for undertaking Cochrane systematic reviews, but it is not free to use. Covidence is free for those authoring the Cochrane reviews.

We use EndNote followed by Covidence. Zotero is a free, close equivalent of EndNote. EndNote may be free to you through your university library. Even after using EndNote and Covidence, some duplicates will remain. You will have to detect and remove those manually.

I fully agree with everyone else about the cochrane handbook and their tools are very good for systematic reviews, also the screening for duplicates can be done with software (like Endnote and covidence has) but they do not find all duplicates, so manual revision for duplicates is a must.

Briefly, you can upload all of your search results to a tool that checks for duplicates automatically and/or allow you to check for duplicates. Preferably, this tool should facilitate screening and full-text selection.

The free software CADIMA is my pick. The developers of CADIMA discussed this tool functions in comparison to other tools available. Moreover, I had a good experience with their support for users.
