There was also a nomination link, which I removed from the text above and that I did not try to open, as well as the abstract of a paper that was accepted a few days ago and made available online about 10 hours before that mail was being sent. According to the website (https://sciencefather.com/awards/), one needs to pay a registration fee in order to apply for an award. Is this a new scam? Thanks for your help.

Once you're meant to pay for an academic award, it's nothing but a scam. Period.
Yes it is nothing but an unauthorized e-mail.
Also, note that, many unauthorized people are continuously tracking authors of good quality articles.
Therefore, be cautious.
I have also received the same mail. I do not know it's genuineness.
I got the same email today. It did not request payment option but I guess that’s the next step they will take.
You may also expect that they are going to start harassing you with emails requesting that you remove your question from ResearchGate. This is what I have experienced after having posted a very similar question. I suggested that they could post a comment to explain their point of view but they just answered claiming that asking such questions on ResearchGate was illegal.
I just received the same e-mail referring to an article published a few days ago. Obviously a scam.
I recieved the mail as well, shortly after referring a publication to my account.

Probably a new tool used by hackers. I received a similar email today.

It is a predatory organization that needs to be brought into the eyes of the concerned ministry in India to ban it.

I have received the same. This is probably scam.
First of all, the email is not personalized, i.e. the begining (in my case) is "Dear Author". Note that this is not typical for communications on real awards.

Got the same. Looks very suspicious - strange link, comes from "award manager". I suggest deleting. If it's a real award, someone will reach out to you personally :)

I received a similar mail from the same franchise today. Reading the mail, I feel it is indeed a scam since my paper has not even been published yet. It is still in the pre-proof stage.
