I want to inject the chitin solution into the foliage of lettuce and measure a possible difference is reactive oxygen species production. Conventional solvents are often toxic or corrosive which will inhibit the plant's ability to produce these species.

You can provide a chitin solution based on Khan methods. Acetic acid (pH= 5.6) can use an appropriate solvent for solving chitin. Elahe Samari
