most of the 0rganoselenide compounds are soluble in dichloromethane.

THF and toluene should also work. I'd use THF if I were doing enolate capture of selenium. DCM ain't great with LDA and the like.

Hi. if you need more polar solvents, DMSO or acetonitrile are surely suitable. I have worked with diPhdiSe in DMSO (or in ACN).

DMSO is the most suitable solvent.
