Hello! I want to sort out mesenchymal and endothelial populations (essentially the junk) from a population of cells in live Acinar Pancreatic tissue. Can anyone give me suggestions on what array of markers to use to segregate extraneous cells from pancreatic ductal or acinar cells (exocrine compartment). Thank you!

Hello Mirza,
In our primary culture of stem cells, we routinely use CD-90, CD-73 and CD-105 (positive marker) for mesenchymal stem cells and CD-34 as endothelial marker (negative marker). Presence of very low population of CD34 positive cells indicate less or no endothelial contamination and ultimately purity of culture. For other general mesenchymal markers, you can use snail, vimentin etc.
