Lawley's test of equal correlation structure test the hypothesis that all population correlation coefficients in the population correlation matrix are equal.
Lawley has developed a procedure for testing the equal correlation structure from the off-diagonal elements of the correlation matrix. It is equivalent to test the hypothesis that correlations are equal.File needs to input the multivariate matrix, matrix type [d=1,for a n-p data matrix; d=2, for a p-p correlation matrix (default = 1) and the significance level (default = 0.05)].It Output the sample-size, number of variables, the observed statistic used to test any deviation from an expected null Ho and the probability that null Ho: is true.
which software are you referring to , in order to enter data and generate the output...is it SAS or SPSS?
Sir, my question is actually if i do experimental data collection with the objective of testing this equal correlation hypothesis, on a particular experimental system...what should be a reasonable data set size for this data collection purpose... in literature they refer to it as a large sample test,..in your experience, what is a reasonable size for this experimental data collection
thank you very much for providing answer to my previous query.
