Our microscope is an Olympus BX51WI with a C attachment and DIC optics. Fluorescence is not needed. Was wondering what people recommend. I've gotten a few quotes:

Regarding coding: I don't know how to code but would be willing to learn. I've heard this is the best option to save money on a good camera. Thank you all in advance for your advice!
As a much cheaper alternative I would recommend

They both have the same sensor and work quite well for visually guided patch-clamping in brain slices.

You might not need to code anything. Check if your micorscope and camera of choice works with ImageJ-Micromanager software. It controls both the microscope and camera.
We've started using ThorLabs Kiralux CMOS cameras, which work quite well for basic DIC and fluorescence imaging for whole cell recordings. As Apostolos mentioned, these and other cameras also work with the open- source MicroManager software (although ThorLabs also provides its own basic software as well).
