I am currently working on the detection of bacterial consumption in eukaryotic cells in vivo.

I would like to know if there is a dye that stains only bacteria and archaea if put in a cell suspension containing also eukaryotic cells and bacteria.

Is there also a product that would only stain phagosomes containing prey such as bacteria (and would not stain lysosomes related to autophagy or pinocytosis)?
