I am trying to do an experiment to assess the adhesion of hematopoietic stem cells of murine origin
I looked through lot of literature but could not find any paper showing the vendor from whom they bought fibronectin and the catalog number,
i usually go to R&D for such recombinant proteins, however they have a selection of fibronectin products listed and i am unsure which one works for my assay, and the technical support was not very helpful
can anyone suggest me any reliable vendors and the actual product that i can purchase?
Hi Sashi, fibronectin, like many other cell adhesion proteins, has an RGD sequence that allows the alphaV and beta3 series of cell integrins to attach.
This should be easy. Any fibronectin from anywhere should do the job.
But since you are dealing with stem cells, traces of other proteins in the fibronectin sold by companies could affect their differentiation.
So call up or email the authors of papers using fibronectin for stem cell adhesion and directly ask them where they got it from.
