What does this Exon annotation mean?

I have a list of alternatively expressed exons and they are described as "E5-1" for example. I understand the E5 means Exon 5 of the gene, but what is the -1 for?

What is the source of the annotation ? Could it be related to alternate splicing or perhaps to tissue specific mRNA ?
