I have a little query about the magnification we physically observe through a compound optical microscope. Say for example, i have an object to be captured by 5X magnifying objective lens (optional). What would be the actual magnification of the object as it seems to be much larger than the five times of the size of the original object?

its objective * eyepiece times magnified. So if your objective lens is 5X and eyepiece is 10X then your image is 50 times bigger.

Dear Chandrakant Nirala,The total magnification of a microscope is equal to: (objective lens magnification) * (ocular lens magnification).
For example: 5X objective lens; 10X ocular lens => results in a total magnification of the microscope of 50X
