I have submitted my manuscript to Neurology journal. After a 2 weeks “under review” the status turned into “Shared View Referral Started”. what does it mean??
I honestly never heard about this phrase. After a little search I stumbled on the following (other publisher but possibly relevant):
https://authorservices.wiley.com/author-resources/Journal-Authors/submission-peer-review/Refer_and_Transfer.html where they state and I quote “Editor Referral
If your manuscript is not accepted by your first-choice journal, the journal’s Editor can refer you to a journal they think would be more suitable, specifically selected from their curated journal network.”
Looking at the fact that nowadays Neurology has a number of “sister” journals I think that your manuscript will be transferred to one of these journals. If and I cannot stress enough if I am right, then it is needless to say that you have to agree with this transfer and if not you can obviously decline their ‘service’.
