I think it's heartwarming to see how Syrian refugees are welcome in Canada. This makes me feel that we can still have faith in kind hearts and humane treatment that we, humans, can have for one another in the face of present violence, prejudice, revenge, etc... Every country should be like that after seeing how much they have suffered at home and for so long.
It is Canada who will benefit from these refugees in the long run.
I think that places/ countries that are able should be will to welcome refugees. At one time, this was done by US and Australia. Let's not forget those good deeds. And refugees should try to fit into the society and contribute to the building of their host country. One of my friends has moved to Toronto to do a Bachelor degree. On the advise of his parents and pastor, he has applied for a PR. (I pray that there will be peace on earth and goodwill to all, regardless of Creed or color. Thanks.)

When Canada has accepted thousands of Syrian refugees, it has shown the world the real humanitarian value that Canada possesses. It has shown, also, how human solidarity should be! Much better than some wealthy/ stable Arab countries whom they did nothing, even that it did not shake their feeling a bit!
If a refugee claimant comes from a country or part of a country that the minister designates as "safe," the individual merits of that person's claim and unique circumstances that may put them at risk in their home country are not given due consideration. The provision sends people seeking asylum from these places to a fast-track system where they will be processed more quickly and have fewer rights to appeal than other claimants.
The lack of clear criteria for designating countries as presumptively safe also runs the risk of injecting foreign policy and other political concerns into a refugee status determination process that ought to be free of bias.

A wonderful thing that Canada welcomes Syrian refugees, but the best solution is the main problem by getting rid of terrorism in Syria and Iraq ( ISIS) and all countries of the world to feel human in this world safe.

It’s an important epistemological break compared to what is happening in Europe. Canada has always had a different view as concerns foreigners. Foreigners are considered an opportunity and a sort of investment. On the other side, the social, geographical, cultural situation of Canada is quite different compared to Europe, and it helps to pursue this approach.

It was a great move by Mr. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada when he showed the World that it shouldn't fear the refugees, wish I can say the same about the Arab Countries!!!
