The World Health Organization WHO and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC recommend that you take the usual precautions to help prevent the spread of coronavirus:
Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth if your hands aren't clean.
Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
Clean surfaces that you touch often.
Stay home from work, school and public areas if you're sick.
Check with your health care provider if you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, and tell him or her about any recent travel.
Avoid eating raw meat or animal organs.
If you're visiting live markets in areas that have recently had cases of the new coronavirus, avoid contact with live animals and surfaces they may have touched.
