1- What do you prefer as a language for teaching: UK or US English? Why?
2- Is the difference between (UK or US English) them related to pronunciation and writing only or are there any other differences?
3- What are the possible difficulties that a learner may face while listening?

Nice question. I prefer the British English because it is way better than American one. It is without slangs, which embellishes it more.

US English, as it is more flexible, but yes academic writings are still following the British rules that are more strict. Although, With the passage of time, APA 6th and others have adopted many flexibilitis e.g. in previous versions of APA, verb, with, noun data, was always ,were, but now ,was, is also acceptable as ,noun data, is plural. So, languages are changing as per change in all other aspects of lives.

As a non-native English speaker and a teacher , I believe it might be easier for learners to get to speak and use American English rather than British English. I prefer American English first due to its consistent spelling. In certain respects American English spelling is more consistent with the way that we say words. The classics would be color versus colour and center versus centre.
secondly, I think my preference is associated with the films, television and other media that use more American than British.
I like the American version of English and you should know that there are different versions! Southern American English is different from Northern.
I prefer British English to American English because America is a multi national country which has a lot of accents and Englishes that belong to the variations of Immigrants who came from different countries of the world introducing their accents and vocabularies that have become part of American English. Adrican American English is one of these prominent varieties reflecting this diversity. British Englsh, on the other hand, is relatively more pure and kriginal.
I really don't care much, but whenever a write-up has instruction to use either US or UK English, I prefer the US because to me it is loose with no strict rules (My opinion) as the UK Eng.
I personally prefer American English as well as many people in my country. I tbink it is because we are more exposed to Us than to UK English through TV, music, movies...
There is difference not only in pronountiation and writing but also in words themselves, for example flat vs. apartment, lift vs. elevator, car vs. automobile, and many others.
The difficulties are the same that you face with different dialects in other countries - some of it you just don't understand..
Both are accepted in my country but I always try to keep to UK English.
'English' language originally belongs to British, I prefer British English over America English
I prefer to teach British English as it is the variety I first learnt, but I’ve already worked for schools that demanded American English. Nowadays I only teach British English.
It is not so much a matter of preference, but rather the teacher's response to particular situations and contexts. It is important for language teachers to be able to switch to either of the accents depending on the needs and purposes of the targeted learners. Historically, however, the British accent has long been advocated for teaching English because it is backed up by prestigious institutions like the British Council . Additionally, the materials available on the market mostly necessitate the use of the British accent.

I think only Britain is the place for perfect English as the they have ruled the world from their. Their wording, vocabularies , grammar and other lexical contexts are worthier than others even English speaking countries like USA, Australia and Canada, On the other hand, American languages are full of slangs sometime not fit the formal spaces or maintaining the decorum.
So, I prefer the British and I will.

As a native user of British English I tend to disagree with Md Zafar Alan Bhuijan. British English is indeed a wonderful language with which to write, teach or express oneself but we also have our share of slang and lack of decorum which should be excluded from formal spaces. Much beautiful literature has been created in US English (and, indeed, Australian and other versions).very many professional teachers around the world teach effectively in all varieties of the language. While I prefer to teach in my own language, I do not think it is an inherently superior version, and I always remind myself to be sensitive to the needs of the particular students I have before me - bearing in mind that many students from other European Countries and from Asia have learned English as a second or third language in an American context. The need for clear communication is paramount.
English has become the most widely spoken language, so it does not belong to neither the British nor the American people. It belongs to its speaker. Therefore, I prefer my own English with reference to any variety, when needed.

I am an American native speaker, so when I write and edit, I always use American English. But for academic writing, either is acceptable, as long as the use is consistently UK or US. You should not go back and forth between the styles. :-)
These are the most widely used english when it comes orthography.
UK English language is better and (easy talk , understand ) than US English language.
