In a large longitudinal study of schoolchildren in Tasmania 1965-70 we found strong associations between hand and foot laterality and failure of reading development. see att paper on my rg entry

“Factors associated with reading failure. A predictive Tasmanian survey”
Left-handedness refers to the preference for using the left hand over the right hand for tasks that involve manual dexterity, such as writing, drawing, or throwing. Left-handedness is relatively less common than right-handedness, with only about 10% of the global population being left-handed.
The brain is divided into two hemispheres, and handedness is related to brain lateralization. In most individuals, the left hemisphere of the brain controls the right hand, and the right hemisphere controls the left hand. Left-handed individuals often have a reversed or less strongly dominant brain lateralization pattern.
