the prevalence of shoulder frozen is much higher in diabetic patients than non diabetic, and what will be the cause?
There is many reports but still not will understood.
Higher prevalence of frozen shoulder are mainly considered to be due to hyperglcemia causing too much glycosylation which consequently leads to higher rates of frozen shoulder and other soft tissue disorders like Dupuytren's disease !?
The observation on Frozen Shoulder being more common in Diabetics is true. In my clinical experience, have seen this and confirm it.
Yes it is commoner in diabetics. Treatment with steroid infiltration and physiotherapy.
