what do you do if you read a published paper, then you find out a piece of your work is there but you were never included on publication.
while you were told that the information was irrelevant, all of the sudden it is published 😭. i mean i know what i have written every single word 😭

I have faced this situation myself before and find it extremely frustrating. My best suggestion is to discuss with the main (corresponding) author of the paper that was published. Unfortunately, it may turn out to be your colleague or friend. This makes the situation a bit uncomfortable. But they should be the one that isa uncomfortable, not you!
