Different research articles shows the different peaks of the iron oxide nanoparticles (having different forms) so which one is correct. Is there any standard peak for iron oxide nanoparticles in XRD?
Is there any standard protocol to be followed to get the analysis of the peaks of XRD?
Yes , search the JCPDS card number . For example .JCPDS card 19-0629 issued by the International Powder Union.
The XRD operator is providing me the ICDS card number. But in different research article different card number JCPDS is mentioned along with different peaks. So which one to go with.

Analysis of XRD curves with X-pert software is done.
In this software, you can select the best curve of the pattern that is fixed with your curve by searching for the elements in it (Fe, O). By referring to its card, you can see crystal plates and template specifications.
In general, for the same material, the wider peak has the smaller crystalline size.
The longer peaks introduce the movement of material from Amorphous towards crystallization.
Mam I have searched the elements in the software provided by the XRD operator (given by Panalytics) but the elements being shown in some of the samples were very complex means it was showing Fe with some other elements attached with it not purely FE3O4, FeOOH etc.This may be due to presence pf plant extract having different components in it.
Besides this I have got pure Fe in some of my samples with some reference number of ICDS.
But I would like to ask does the software shows the presence of Fe3O4, FeOOH etc. I have tried by putting restriction in software.
Actually we dont't have enough idea to operate software here in our institute so getting the problems.

according to your explanations above your sample system seems to keep not only iron oxide nano particles but also some other material.

As per your question, it is true for different phases iron oxide different XRD peaks you can observe.
For analysis of XRD the most widely used procedure is,
1. 1st do the XRD and get the .txt, or .csv file and try to plot in Origin software
2. Next, try to find the JCPDS standard card number for your material [Magnetite nanoparticles (JCPDS card no. 00-001-1111)]
3. Try to match the peak position in your origin file and find the planes (hkl)

Dear Abhishek All of aformentioned informations are suitable. However, I like to explain in follow my approach. First of all, for iron oxide, there are different phases involve F2O3, FeO and Fe3O4. These phases have different XRD patterns. Besides, with attention to production technigue, other impure phases can be available in final products such as Fe and FeOH. Furthermore, calibration of XRD equipments can be little different in different organizations that results in little XRD shift for phases. Finally the bigest problem is related to exsistance of different phases and their patterns in final synthesized product. Thus, knowledge of nanoscience and XRD of materials is necessary.
