I am working on a gene involved in PTM of collagens. I have so far been working with TC28a2 cells, as they are relevant to my studies. However, I was told they do not express a great variety of collagens. Can someone recommend a cell line that does express a variety of collagens?

Osteo sarcoma lines typically make type I and some III. Are you primarily interested in fibrillar collagens, basal lamina collagens or cell adhesion “minor” collagens?

Thank you for your answer. I am interested in identifying the substrate of a collagen PTM protein. I have reasons to suspect it is a fibrillar collagen but ideally I would like to use a cell line that expresses as many collagens as possible.
