I'm working with an enzyme that probably reduces cytochrome b of E. coli.

How can I inhibit cytochrome b so that the electron transfer would be blocked? Literature search showed several ihibitors (mainly fungicides), but they are specific for complex III and not for cytochorme b.

Is there any inhibitor that can block cytochromes, maybe by binding directly to the heme iron?

Best regards,

Gianluca
