What can be the possible outcomes if we inject normal colon stem cells into athymic mice?

I am trying to characterize normal colon stem from the remaining stromal cells and other cells found in the normal colon. I want to know if injecting normal colon stem cells into athymic mice can be considered as a gold standard as it is done for cancer stem cells.
