Several members of my lab have been attempting to perform a retrovirus or lentivirus spinfection into CD3 T cells (mouse and human). The ideal plate would be a untreated 12-well plate with the addition of takara's retronectin prior to the spinfection.

We have tried multiple plates from various brands, but all the untreated plates cannot seem to withstand 2000g for an hour without cracking. Obviously the loss of sample is annoying but its also a bit of a safety hazard with getting virus all over the inside of the centrifuge.

Can anyone with some experience share what brand of plate you use? 12-well is ideal, but happy to hear about other sizes if they work and what brand they are.

Thanks!
