How do you advise a group of authors whose papers already accepted but only listed for several months under ahead-of-print without publication as necessary?
I will go with Dr. Hussein's advice. Just contact the editor of such journal for an explanation on the situation at hand. This will give you further information on the next step to take.
Thank you. I quite understand that such is very disturbing.
Look for the frequency of publication of the journal concerned. If only a single volume comes out in a year then waiting period of seven month after acceptance is not too much.
Anyway you request the editor to publish it as soon as possible.
Subir Bandyopadhyay Thank you, this is a good advice. Emad Kamil Hussein Yes, this had been thought of and now that it's also advised I think it is a good step to follow.

Sometimes, it is we that get the fault. Journals state clearly their publication frequency; monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually, but often times we may not check this but other enticing factors such as impact factor or acceptance rate. Subir Bandyopadhyay has said it all.
