Here is nice presentation on "Emotional Intelligence, Yale story of 21st century! Very useful! "Self awareness,Managing emotions,Motivating ourselves,Empathy,Resolving conflicts/handling relationships" are key issues for EI!
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair famously and/or notoriously accused his successor former Prime Mininter Gordon Brown of abundance of analytical but lack of emotional intelligence!
'Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to monitor one's own and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different emotions and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior.
Criticisms have centered on whether EI is a real intelligence and whether it has incremental validity over IQ and the Big Five personality traits.'

@Prof Ljubomir, thanks for your links. I will read them on Sunday (tomorrow), when I come back to college after all my church duties. I appreciate all your effort and time to enrich my life with knowledge that you share so generously. Thanks.
@Tobias, it is a part of good discussion on EI! "Travis Bradberry, author of Emotional Intelligence 2.0 describes Emotional Intelligence as being comprised of two competencies: Personal Competence and Social Competence. Personal Competence is the ability to be have both Self-Awareness and Self-Management skills. We are self aware by accurately perceiving our own emotions and staying on top of them as they happen. We manage ourselves when we use awareness of our own emotions to stay flexible and positively direct our behavior."
