I challenge my students to put away their laptops in the classroom and use pencil/pen and paper instead. The laptop is often a distraction more than a learning tool. My experience is that this strategy improves both the attention, the learning process and the collaboration between the students. What are your views on studies that claim that writing by hand seem to engage the brain in a better way?

Kjartan Skogly Kversøy thank you for this question ! I personnaly get more ideas for research when I write using a pen and a paper than when I write on a PC. For teaching, it is similar, my students prefer when I write on board using a board pen than when I use a powerpoint presentation.
I think traditional handwriting is the "natural" way of doing things .

I prefer to write my thoughts on a specific topic on the paper continuously. Where the study with pc does not give the engage of ideas as in handwriting. At the same time, when writing, the pc is needed to for Google search
