Nowadays, I have been modelling a 3-D cooling plate including rectangular water channels (height=1 mm, width=0.5 mm) for Li-ion battery via Ansys Fluent. Also, there are the different type of geometric design (protrusions, dimples etc.) throughout the channels in order to enhance thermal-hydraulic performance and ensure uniform temperature distribution on battery. Although it was tried lots of mesh methods and solved the flow, it wasn't solved the numerical problems when implied the heat flux on the plate (generally "temperature limited to 1.0000e+00001 in cells.."  ). I would like to grateful if you could share your recommendations and experiences about on numerical design tips of narrow channels.
