Manures  and crop residues when applied to soil undergo decomposition and mineralization and release nutrients in to soil .Organic manures/ residues on decomposition release organic acids ,enzymes and protons which may mobilize soil nutrients. But at the same time the released nutrients in soil solution interact with solid phase and get adsorbed/sorbed.So under normal field conditions, what are the efficiencies of nutrients from organic sources? Also whether the efficiencies change with time under cropping and manure /residue use?
