I want to use CuSCN as HTL however, its conventional solvent i.e. di-isopropyl sulfide and diethyl sulfide are proven to be too toxic for the other layers resulting in their degradation. So, I want to know if there is any other solvent which I can use an alternative to avoid the toxicity ad degradation problems.

thank you for posting this interesting technical question. We used to prepare copper(I) thiocyanate regulary in our lab courses. To my knowledge the compound is soluble in diethyl ether, but, as mentioned in the reference suggested by Mohammad Kooti the solubility in DMSO is quite good. The authors of that paper dissolved 10 mg of copper(I) thiocyanate in 1.0 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). First this resulted in a suspension which was then was sonicated for 2 h at room temperature. A clear solution was obtained after additional standing for 30 min at room temperature. Apparently sonication is the key to obtaining a clear solution of CuSCN in DMSO.
