Jatropha oil is an alternative fuel and is produced from the seeds of the Jatropha curcas . It is also known as bio-diesel plant. It grows in open exposed areas, grasslands, wastelands, washed out mountain terrains etc. The Indian Railways use these oil after blending with diesel fuel and is a great success.

May be sun energy

There other new sources for energy but they cannot replace oil which currently is the most important source for energy.

Oil could only replaced by combination of renewable energy sources.
