An excellent 21st Century science lesson is not limited by time, location or role stereotypes. It is an opportunity for students to develop their understanding and capabilities through inquiry where they are guided by a teacher but the also have a degree of autonomy. There is a common purpose but also room for individuality. There is a hard science content but it is blended with soft social skills.
