Bulk transcriptomic methods have a set limit that can not be used for identifying cell subtypes and tracking the lineage so we can not be sure if adults get new neurons derived from the stem cells or newly found mature neurons derive from the maturation of the developmentally arrested postmitotic stages like immature neurons. Do you think that single-cell RNA sequencing can be useful to circumvent that limit?
