Hi,
I am supposed to simulate the flow of Sc-CO2 through a packed bed with spherical fuel. I use fluent 14.5 and its database doesn't support supercritical properties for the flow. the properties of SC-Co2 such as density, conductivity, specific heat are function of temperature and pressure then I should write udf . Thus, I need figures or tables of its properties. is there any book or reference about properties of supercritical carbon dioxide?

The US NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) offers a web-based interface to get plots and tabular data for many fluids and mixtures including CO2. Google NIST CO2 or look for http://webbook.nist.gov/cgi/fluid.cgi?ID=C124389&Action=Page . You can get many different tables. They reference the data used to create the curve-fits and tables.
The best representation of pure carbon dioxide through supercritical and critical conditions was published by Altunin and Gadestkii (1971). See details of the specific equation of state in european journal of mechanics /b fluids 1996

You may also consider to use one of the real gas equations of state in FLUENT, which are already built in. They need only a few parameters like critical pressure, critical temperature etc., but they are not as accurate as NIST data. When using tabular data, you need to be careful to make sure that the real gas CFD is consistent (i.e. that all thermodynamic derivatives like specific heat or speed of sound are calculated accurately). When using built-in equations of state, consistency is guaranteed.
Michael, Thanks for warning. I defined all of properties of s-co2 according NIST data and the CFD was consistent.
I am surprised about your comment. Since now I am going to consider nitrogen as a real gas but the real gas CFD is not consistent. I should follow your comment. Thanks a lot!
