L'acide valérianique se forme par dégradation anaérobie des composés à haut poids moléculaire, dans les précurseurs des acétates (méthanisation dans des conditions de pH proches de 7, après dénitrification et réduction des sulfates. C'est donc là une voie à explorer, selon moi.

Quant aux phtalates, leurs source me semble généralement anthropique. Voilà mes premières remarques.
