Is it possible to conduct MASEM or Meta SEM based on PLS SEM approach, e.g., using SmartPLS and such?

I am about to conduct a study using Meta Analysis Structural Equation Model or MASEM/MetaSEM. I stumbled upon several discussions online stating that we cannot use PLS-SEM approach as it use variance based approach. But I stumbled on some discussion that said it is possible (https://www.researchgate.net/post/How_to_use_Covariance_Matrix_as_input_for_Meta_SEM_in_SmartPLS).

Can anyone share an insight? Thank you in advance
