The congestion may occur due to the inadequate number of accessible resources in a router buffer to accommodate all received packets. Methods of active queue management (AQM), like random early detection (RED), are employed before overflows of the buffer. Moreover, most methods, inclusive (RED), are facing troubles represented by dependence on tuning parameters and requirement of affixing input parameters to proper values for achieving a satisfactory performance. Moreover, the average queue length (avg) between the minimum and maximum threshold positions cannot be stabilized by RED-based methods‖ if the sources number increases, thereby a heavy congestion is occurred.
