The use of social media may have both beneficial and bad applications...Individuals have feelings of dissatisfaction with their existing circumstances, which may result in issues with their self-esteem and melancholy. The usage of social media has also been linked to instances of cyberbullying and cyber abuse committed by anonymous users on the internet, which may result in issues pertaining to one's self-esteem and privacy.
The following link contains many links and opinions about the impact of social media on health behavior, and is it possible for it to have a positive impact on this so as to reduce the obstacles that we may face in crises if it is used correctly... My sincere gratitude, Doctor
Social media can enhance human relationships by facilitating communication and connection across distances, but it also poses risks such as reducing face-to-face interactions and fostering superficial connections. Additionally, it can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts due to the lack of non-verbal cues and can contribute to feelings of loneliness and envy through constant comparison with others.
With respect to brilliant inputs of Rohit Kumar Manal Hadi Kanaan , the following aspect may also be of interest Bhawna Vijay : social media can help us to build a planetary civilization.
Especially Stephen I. Ternyik , sir you said very true that Social media can help to create a global community by connecting people from different parts of the world, allowing us to share ideas, cultures, and solutions to common problems. This can lead to a more united and cooperative planet.
I agree very much with the opinion of the colleagues Dr. Stephen I. Ternyik and Dr. Rohit Kumar , and one of the successful examples of successful social media is this scientific platform (RG) and the great scientific benefit it provides for exchanging opinions and ideas and keeping informed of developments in the field of various sciences... In addition to that it provides the possibility of research cooperation between groups of researchers from different countries, which contributes to the exchange of experiences and develops scientific research... Many thanks to everyone.
So we can summarize this like Social media impacts human relationships in both positive and negative ways. On the positive side, it helps people stay connected, communicate easily across distances, and share ideas and cultures. However, it also has downsides, such as reducing face-to-face interactions, fostering superficial connections, and increasing feelings of loneliness and envy due to constant comparison with others. Additionally, it can lead to cyberbullying and privacy issues. Overall, while social media can bring people together, it’s important to use it mindfully to avoid its potential harms.
Yes, ethics of communication is the key Rohit Kumar The social media itself do also reflect ‚the mental state of all its participants‘; even the cleanest water can be polluted by a few drops of poison.
People are unique and individuals. Social media tries to connect as many as possible subscribers and to create large armies as followers. Unfortunately the media owners change permanently their stratgies. Young people are permanently online, whereas the older cant keep up with the permanent changes. Thus they abandone their subscription. We also see that such types of communication produces emotion and rarely benefits for the subscribers. More and more people realize that online communication, unlike the personal kind of interaction and communication has no consequences and is wasting valuable time. I observe that social media has reached saturation.
Globaly we witness block formation and maybe the societal groups in the blocks will go back to the old personal interest group kind of communication that is based on creating new values together with other members. That creates intelligent people, new applications, industries and economic progress for the individuals.
The impact of the development of online social media on human relations is multifaceted and generates both positive and negative effects. On the one hand, online social media help to make new contacts, are helpful in promoting certain ideas, promoting product and service offers, also allow to generate profits from marketing activities, are a source of livelihood for influencers who advertise product and/or service offers of certain companies, enterprises, financial and other institutions. On the other hand, the development of social media and the increasing use of these media by children and adolescents negatively affects the development of social competence, limits peer relationships among schoolchildren in a face-to-face form, and is the source of many tragedies caused by heelish activities carried out by some users of these media. In addition, cybercriminals hacking into the profiles of users of popular online social media obtain from them data about users and their friends, including sensitive data that allows them to send fake emails, SMS, messages through these media and gain access to bank accounts to commit financial embezzlement, steal money. Through social media there are recent disinformation campaigns based on crafted deepfakes and false information with the aim of causing a change in the general public consciousness on a certain topic, changing public opinion on key social and other issues, and to influence the results of political elections, defame, damage the reputation of a certain person or company brand.
I would like to invite you to join me for scientific cooperation on this issue,
