I am working recombinant protein production using Chinese Hamster Ovarian cells. Need to understand the growth pattern of mammalian cells and how the metabolism rate affects the recombinant protein production.

mammalian cells growth much slowwly than bacteria. While duplication time of bacterial is in the order of 20-30 minutes. the duplication time of CHO growth in suspension at 37°C is about 16-18h and while it is much more affected from temperature respect than the baxcteria.
I'm using the ExpiCHO that are able to hrowth up to high cell density (up to 8-10 milion/ml).
