As we have seen over the years many new trends were developed in the field of geotechnical engineering. May that be regarding Geo-Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Geotechnical Engineering or Ground improvement techniques. My query is what are the new emerging trends in the said field.

New kind of ground improvement techniques are coming up in terms of new material used for strengthening ground. i feel both ground improvement technique and geo-environmental engineering area lot scope for new and innovative research..New kind of grout also researchers looking for improving the properties of soil. Also, in geotechnical design point of view also lot more work is going on like design concept for the pile socketed into the rock. Seismic design of foundation is also an emerging area of research..ok all the best in your research..
For inside mapping of vertical section of ground to be done with electrical resistivity test, that give faster and more reliable results to indicate location of water table, hard rock etc
