I want to use PPS (Polyphenylene sulfide) cloth instead of PTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene) cloth filter in a filtration process, is there any limit to this practice? What is the main difference between these two types of textile? My research has shown that there is not much difference in terms of temperature, pressure and erosion.
The main difference is in the adhesion of the products to the filter surface.

We have two filters made by Dr. Muller, one at 200 C and 20 bar pressure made of PPS (3 micron) and the other at 90 C and 6 bar pressure made of PTFE (5 micron)! The materials of both are the same, only the concentration of solid particles is higher in the PTFE filter.
Do you think it is possible to use PPS cloth instead of PTFE filter cloth under the mentioned conditions?
If the porosity is not required (3 or 5 micron), I think it would be possible. However, it is necessary to study the phenomenon of clogging of the filter!
