Dear all,

We are rearing Spodoptera exigua in the lab to perform assays. We recently started having problems with the health and survival of the larvae which led to the colony being stopped completely. The symptoms starts from L3-L4 onwards, the insects become very sick and die(see att picture). We stopped the colony for several weeks and disinfected incubators & materials carefully then we ordered new pupae but we came with the same problem. We are using premix diet for rearing which suggested by the pupae supplier.

I hope I can find some ideas to solve this problem.

Best regards,

Mohamad
