Do you think AR browsers are still the best option to build AR experiences for mobile devices such as smartphones? What about the native AR applications ? Which one do you prefer and what improvement have been there in each technology?.
AR browsers include Layar, Wikitude, Aurasma, Junaio, Augment, Blippar and Zapar. In addition, AR SDKs are available for those with programming skills. To these; Wikitude SDK, ARcore, ARkit, Vuforia, Artoolkit 6 and so on. many examples can be given. The emergence of mixed reality in recent times and the emergence of smart goggles-for viewing AR apps- like Hololens will accelerate the development of markerless AR applications.
We very much prefer the native mobile applications, but this has proven far more difficult to create for Apple devices when compared to Android devices. The real exciting benefit of Web Browser-supported AR apps, is the potential for the single app to be completely compatible between devices.
Google is currently testing some AR apps within their Chrome browser, so it's an exciting prospect that we might see development of this increase in the future. At the moment, we use AR apps developed within Unity for our curricula.

I've use Augment but i think that the best way to develop AR app is using natives AR application such as unity. Better quality i think and since it uses coding better security
