I understand that in the UK the use of CD34+ FACS staining is becoming less and less used in favor of functional assays like CFU. Is this also the case in Scandinavia? Is there any clinical guidelines on assessing HSPC composition in samples pre or post freezing?
Any information would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks S. Béatrice Marianne Ewalds-Kvist , do these guidelines hold through in Sweden too? They mention "viable CD34+ cells" do you think that viability is estimated by a simple DAPI stain?
