To Jude Ndu: the problem is that sakaries in Croatia are very low in comparison to other EU countries, so especially young people go for better salaries.
For Turkey 🇹🇷 further immigration is on the doorstep. We have been hosting about 3 Million immigrants from Syria. I feel very sorry for them and they are always in my praying. I personally don’t mind even the number would increase. We can host more than 10 Million with some austerity. If that crises share with European countries the economic burden over Turkey will be lessen.

In my opinion the biggest challenge Indonesia is facing right now is how to avoid middle income trap. More than a decade ago, Indonesia has advanced from a low income country to a lower middle income country. As a consequence of the higher income, wage becomes uncompetitive, particularly when compared to the neighboring country Vietnam. Investors perceive Vietnam is very attractive for fresh investment as well as for relocating their factories. As a result, Indonesia's economy is losing its steam. Middle income trap threatens to halt the growth and possibly throw Indonesia back to the low income group.
Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG, Strategic goals to be achieved should be defined in each developing country, i.e. goals that will be implemented over a period of several years or more. Strategic goals include mainly development projects whose task is e.g. to improve communication and technological infrastructure, and to develop systems that provide citizens with security in various categories, including, e.g. diversification of energy sources and gathering the necessary resources of production factors for the development of industry in subsequent years . The implementation of large developmental infrastructure projects that improve land, air and other communications, transport logistics, electronic communications and energy infrastructure, etc. on the one hand, improve the conditions for the functioning of citizens in the economy as well as create better conditions for the development of enterprises and thus economic growth. In addition, the state may adopt as strategic goals to implement in a perspective of a few years improvement of living conditions, improvement of the material, financial and housing situation of citizens. In this way, the scale of leaving the country by young, educated people who go to more developed countries in search of an interesting, better-paid job. The improvement of living conditions, the improvement of the material, financial and housing situation of citizens is also a pro-development, pro-economic and anti-crisis factor for the national economy, because then consumption increases, which generates an increase in production on the domestic market. The implementation of this type of strategic goals of the state I described on the example of pro-development, interventionist, anti-crisis socio-economic policy conducted for over 3 years. In my publications available on the Research Gate portal, I described the principles and strategic goals of implementing and implementing such socio-economic policy programs as the 500 Plus Program and the Flat Plus Program (Mieszkanie Plus Program). The key strategic, long-term goals of these programs are to improve the material, financial and housing situation of citizens to the extent that the fertility rate in families is successively increased, and thanks to these pro-development socio-economic policy programs to counteract the adverse processes of rapidly changing demographic structure of the society consisting of the aging of the society. Other types of strategic goals planned to be implemented on a multiannual scale in many countries include energy sector reforms consisting in replacing classic energy sources based on burning minerals with renewable energy sources. Unfortunately, these pro-ecological strategic goals are only very limited in some countries.
For example, in my country currently (end of 2019) only about 15 percent. electricity is generated from renewable energy sources, while 85 percent electricity is generated in power plants operating in the traditional energy formula based on the combustion of minerals. The government has now adopted a strategic goal that by 2030 the share of energy generated from renewable sources is to increase to 32 percent. This is not a fast pace if in many other developed countries this share of renewable energy sources is already greater and by 2030 it is expected to exceed 50% in many countries. So why is this reform process in the energy sector so slow if the state has the resources to implement its strategic goals faster, but it does not use them. It is good that my country became a member of the European Union 15 years ago, thanks to which it is forced to implement certain pro-ecological reforms by adjusting the standards of energy, waste sorting, recycling, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing emissions from cars, etc., to comply with the high standards of the European Union. Due to the fact that my country has become a member of the European Union, in addition to the strategic goals of pro-development, interventionist, anti-crisis social and economic policy implemented through the 500 Plus Program, the Flat Plus Program, programs for the construction of large communication infrastructure facilities (highways, Via Karpatia route, Central Airport, excavation of the Vistula Spit) it also begins the implementation of strategic pro-ecological projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce the scale of environmental pollution, reduce the scale of the unsorted waste problem, develop recycling, etc. The necessary ecological reforms planned for many years to be implemented are largely financed from the sources of the system state public finances. Therefore, planning the structure of the state budget should also be carried out on a multiannual basis and not only for the next year. In addition, socio-economic policy should be shaped in such a way as to activate entrepreneurship and innovation in the sectors of enterprises, financial and public institutions, so that in the following years economic growth will increase. Improving economic growth in the coming years will generate an improvement in the state of public finances, i.e. low level of public finance system debt and a balanced state budget. In such a situation, the sum of financial resources that the government will be able to allocate for development and investment purposes as part of the implementation of the strategic objectives of the socio-economic policy should be increased, i.e. there will be greater funding possibilities for all the above-mentioned strategic objectives, including development-oriented, pro-cyclical goals and social as well as achieving ecological goals. Thanks to the improvement in economic growth, it will be possible to increase the scale of development and investment projects in the coming years. In such a situation, the economy could develop faster in the following years and strategic goals would be implemented more efficiently and faster and / or on a larger scale. Unfortunately, many independent analysts suggest that the state, despite having the necessary instruments for activating economic development, does not make full use of these instruments of interventionist, pro-structural socio-economic policy.
