@ Zainab, there are many software which proved to be good for ecological analysis. They are: EcoNet, GoldSim, NOS, Flora etc. You may use any one of them or which suits you.
The priority is to first formulate your research question (what you have defined here is very broad) and identify your data sources or how you will collect data to answer your question.
When it comes to software - if you are going to invest time in learning something, then learn 'R' (https://www.r-project.org/). It is powerful, versatile and free. Lots of excellent free learning material online to get you started (e.g. https://www.statmethods.net/)
