APSLAP is an online server to predict the subcellular localization of Apoptosis protein. Prediction is based on the output from seven different modules, out of which five are AdaBoost modules and rest two are signal peptide and BLAST modules. It predicts one among the six subcellular location (cytoplasm, membrane, secreted, mitochondria, nucles, or ER) for the given query protein.
I couldn't say it's the best program, but I am working with Psortb v3.0 and it works very well (the standalone version). You can use the web server or install the standalone version if you have a linux or mac os machine. Also there are useful links to other Subcellular Localization Tools in their web page.
Did you install standalone PSortb v3.0. I am trying to install it but I am facing issues. Can you please guide me if you did that. I shall be very thankfull to you for your assistance.
