I’m planning to perform RNA sequencing on human blood samples using Tempus Blood RNA tubes from Thermo Fisher. Has anyone here had experience using these tubes for blood collection? I’d really appreciate any detailed advice on the correct blood collection procedure.

Additionally, if the samples will take up to five days to reach the lab, what shipping methods do you recommend to maintain RNA integrity? Should dry ice be used during shipping, or are there other recommended practices for preserving the samples during transport?

I’d also like to know what factors could lead to failure during blood collection or the sequencing process. If anyone has experience with issues or pitfalls in this process, I would be grateful for advice on how to avoid them.

Thank you in advance for your help!
