a. Addition of Al2O3 nano particles to the base cutting fluid results in remarkable reduction in cutting forces, dynamic fluctuation of cutting forces, cutting temperature, tool wear, and surface roughness as compare to conventional MQL (without additives).
b. 5 vol% exhibits best performance while further increasing of Al2O3 nano particles concentration worsened the performance.
I hope that these information will be useful for your research.
The main objective is to reduce the temperature evolution during machining. For this you need nano-particles which must enhance the heat carrying capacity of the cutting fluid used during machining. For this you can use few layer graphene (high thermal conductivity) and even try CNT Secondly apart from from heat carrying capacity the lubrication/ tribology is also important. So to achieve high thermal conductivity along with optimum lubrication you can try mixture of two or more nano-particles like mixture of graphene and Al2O3/ SiC/Graphite also mixture of CNT and Al2O3/ SiC /Graphite.
