Hi, in this case it is better to use classical methods (fminunc/fmincon from MATLAB for example) or any equivalent code available in FORTRAN. This, you will converge to a local optimum of your problem.

Genetic algorithms is very powerful technique. But need to tune for the problem.

There is no best algorithm (it depends totally on your problem) - No Free Lunch theorem.
