A sreies of ritualas and ethical norms and conducts form muslim behaviour in Ramadhan month .may we count their benefits for the mankind(Muslims and non Muslims)?
From a purely mental and physical health perspective, intermittent fasting such as in Ramadan or the Bahá'í Fast (which is very similar but only lasts 19 days and is always from the begining of March till the Persian New Year) is very healthy for the body as a recent study of the Bahá'í Fast by the Charité University Hospital in Berlin Germany proved a few years ago. It also can help people reset addictive mental bahaviors like watching too much social media etc. However it's important to do it right. Some people spend the day sleeping and stay up all night eating two or three meals. This is wrong and totally defeats the purpose of Ramadan or other similar fasts. It can also give one a more meditative and prayerful day then one usually gives oneself enough time for, which incurs added blessings, divine confirmations and feels really great!
